Acerca de este producto
Product Information
The Aesthetic Revolution in Germany refutes the stereotypical image of Germany as the country of romantic but unworldly poets and thinkers. In 1750, an aesthetic revolution takes place in Germany, at the beginning of which stands J.J. Winckelmann. The romantic movement (Schiller, Hoelderlin, Kleist) paves the way for this aesthetic revolution, which Heine is one of the first to criticise. Since then, criticism has never fallen silent. Opposing the rationalisation of the world (Wagner), the aesthetic revolution climaxes in the philosophy of Nietzsche. During the 1920s and 30s, it becomes a conservative revolution (George, Spengler, Th. Mann, Benn) and fails inevitably. Beckmann and M. Walser show that particularly after 1945 the aesthetic perspective is still necessary.

- -***o (130)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaExcellent, as always with books-etc. Exactly as described, good packaging in sturdy cardboard, which is very important to me. I don't like flimsy paper/polythene envelopes. Perfect condition book at a great price. It usually takes about a week to receive an item, but with free postage so what?! There's a reason I keep coming back to them - they are a top seller. Thank you.
- o***n (2847)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaAn excellent book at a great price. It was my first purchase from this seller and i was expecting a service similar to others on eBay. However it took a long time to be despatched and to reach me. The original order was placed on 6 June. It was not despatched until 11 June and finally it arrived 14 June. I may not use this seller in the future if i want an item in a few days but i cannot fault them on the quality of the item - as described - so ultimately i am happy and have learned a lesson,Shiva's Hologram - 9781803413341 (#355083215954)
- f***f (426)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Mes pasadoCompra verificadaVery reasonable price for an impressive hardcover volume, in new condition, which is getting fairly scarce. Packaged very securely, posted quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Fast, friendly and helpful communication as well. (The first copy I ordered got 'lost' at the Global Shipping Centre - even with a tracking number. I was sent a full refund, without any questions - and used that to order this copy, which arrived without any hassles). All good!
