He proved it again when he sank reigning heavyweight champion Buster Douglas in three rounds, despite the so-called experts' predictions to claim boxing's coveted heavyweight title, and again when after a bruising defeat to Riddick Bowe, he pursued and defeated Bowe to reclaim that title. He continued to prove it when a heart problem forced him out of the ring. Instead of resting on his impressive career, Evander turned to the source of his strength. This time he found healing. This autobiography offers a portrait of a determined man who refuses to let defeat have the final word. Evander Holyfield recently won the heavyweight title for a record-equalling third time against Iron Mike Tyson. On December 15, 1996, Holyfield was voted as Sports Personality of the Year (foreign category).
