Why I like X-men the characters and their universe.
I first discovered this book at a local Barnes & Noble.I had found it in the clearance section,but of course I didn't buy it.So the next day I researched it on Ebay.And I found it right away.It is a very thorough book.It begins with the history of the X-men as co-created by comic book legends Jack(King)Kirby and Stan(The man)Lee back in 1963.Goes through the John Byrne,Dave Cockrum ,and Chris Claremont years.Then through a history of action figures and video games.Then it goes through the X-men film trilogy as directed by Bryan Singer(X-men,X2 X-men united)with X-men the last stand directed by Brett Ratner.The final few chapters are devoted to spin-offs,limited series and alternate realities like Days of future past and House of M.Altogether it's a very good read.Buy it.you will not be disappointed.
