  Item is as described and is ideal for focusing the Mamiya Press Super 23 (purchased separately). Postage and packaging was compact and efficient: the item arrived intact. This is good value. I prefer a focusing screen to the camera's range finder, and this will let me experiment with tilt and swing in the future, which cannot be done with the range finder. I bought this from the UK, so I am bit puzzled as to why the costs are listed as Canadian Dollar: this is odd

  Seller described the camera as ‘Mint’ they did not show in photos or mention the crumbling light seals. When camera arrived there was light-seal debris all over ground glass and inside camera. Took nearly 2 hours to clean and remove the old light seals. I have had to purchase new light seals. Thought a partial refund to reflect this was a reasonable request. Sellers response. Accuse me of ‘blackmail’ Quite antagonistic language. Not sorry or conciliatory. I would be cautious buying from seller

  I'm sorry to hear that the buyer is not satisfied with the item. We offered a partial refund, but the buyer demand a refund more over the value of the light seal. We could not accept an unreasonable demand from buyer. This camera was manufactured more than 40 years ago, so it is natural that the seal is detariorated. It depends on a seller whether the light seal is replaced before listing or not. Some sellers appeals that the light seals replaced, but it is not usual.

  Seller quite selective in what they say. A seller should make it clear if it’s obvious the light seals will need renewing. It took me 2 hours to remove then replace the light seals $15 (about £10) quite insulting. I NEVER made ANY demand for any specific amount. I would say that If seller had offered $20-25 that would have been a more reasonable and realistic amount under the circumstances. They didn’t. They just immediately started spouting off about blackmail. Not really good selling practice!
