When I inquired about this item, the price was $100. The seller could only tell me that this unit is geared for 365nm and confirmed that it was 8mm diameter. There are no other technical specifications. Subsequent to my email, he put the price maybe as I was looking at using it for a product. A few months later, I finally got round to testing a unit and can report that this unit has about 1/4 of the light that a 1m long, 5mm lumatec transmits that is also designed for UV.

So, you are comparing the light output of your 5MM light guide that is 3 feet long to an 8MM light guide that is 6 feet long and expecting the same output? Interesting.
