Acerca de este producto

Product Information

Today's DSLRs have manuals running to hundreds of pages, but they neglect one crucial fact: great photographers do not just simply know how to navigate menus, they also understand how their camera works and how to get the best possible pictures from it. The DSLR Field Guideshares Michael Freeman's decades of professional photography experience with digital technology--from the anatomy of a DSLR, though to making the most of the camera's many settings so you can operate it with speed and accuracy, confident that you will be achieving the best possible result. Michael Freeman is the author of the global bestseller, The Photographer's Eye. Now published in sixteen languages, The Photographer's Eye continues to speak to photographers everywhere. Reaching 100,000 copies in print in the US alone, and 300,000+ worldwide, it shows how anyone can develop the ability to see and shoot great digital photographs.

Reviews
"I enjoyed the information on white balance, cleaning your camera's sensor (something I need to do VERY soon), and calibrating your monitor. The book includes lots of photos and is well laid out. [W]hile this book covers lots of photography subjects, it isn't basic. There is a fair amount of technical, text-book-like information that would probably overwhelm a beginner. Who would it be good for? It would be perfect for someone who is switching from a film SLR camera to a digital SLR. It would also be good for someone who knows the basics of photography but is looking for MORE technical information."-- MomandCamera.com, "I enjoyed the information on white balance, cleaning your camera's sensor (something I need to do VERY soon), and calibrating your monitor. Michael Freeman The DSLR Field Guide: The essential guide to getting the most from your camera; Michael Freeman The Exposure Field Guide: The essential handbook to getting the perfect exposure in photography; any subject, anywhere; Michael FreemanThe Photographer's Eye Field Guide: The essential handbook for traveling with your digital SLR camera"--review in Kimberlygauthier.com "Michael Freeman's detailed knowledge of all things related to photography amazes me. As does his ability to write clearly and concisely about it. Which is good because this book, designed to fit into a small equipment bag or even a pocket on cargo pants, covers a lot of territory in a relatively small amount of space.I don't know what to state in a review of a book of this type, except to say that anyone buying a DSLR, who is truly interested in improving their photography, should give this small volume a try. Some of it is a bit dense, because some of the material covered is complicated, but it is presented here about as clearly as I have ever seen it anywhere."--BetterinBlackandWhite.com, "I enjoyed the information on white balance, cleaning your camera's sensor (something I need to do VERY soon), and calibrating your monitor. Lately, USPS leaves a lot to be desired. Tracking is inconsistent, very often not updated, stops during transit, and packages sit in terminals sometimes for weeks without moving, or tours the country seeing just about every state prior to delivery, as if on vacation. Often arrives damaged. It seems as if USPS workers are only interested in putting in their 8 hours and going home, don’t care if they accomplish anything during their workday, or not. It’s just getting sadder every passing week.
