This book, the 15th in Rowan's very successful patchwork and quilting series, picks up on the popularity of Downton Abbey! Shot in the stately home of Port Eliot in Cornwall, the country seat of Lord and Lady St Germans, this scintillating collection of quilts showcases the latest Kaffe Fassett Collection fabrics from Westminster Fibers. Kaffe leads, as usual, his team of master quilt designers, producing some truly stunning new quilts. Marmalade and Cartwheel by Liza Prior-Lucy are colourful show-stoppers; Lorna Doone by Corienne Kramer, Dotty Frames by Kaffe himself and Dreamy Hexagons by Liza are exquisitely subtle, with a delicate water colour palette. If your taste is for strong geometrics, then Roberta Horton's Geese in Flight and Brandon Mably's Paper Dolls are bound to catch the eye. Brilliant photography by Debbie Patterson and with clear and accurate quilt instructions by Pauline Smith and Ruth Eglinton, this book is going to be a sure-fire winner with all enthusiastic quiltmakers. It features 20 quilt designs: by Kaffe himself, Liza Prior Lucy, Brandon Mably, Pauline Smith, Roberta Horton, Mary Mashuta, Corienne Kramer and Sally Davis.

Author Biography
Born in San Francisco, Kaffe settled in England in 1964 and worked as an artist. On a trip to Scotland he stumbled on an irresistible collection of coloured yarns; a few months later he was hooked and proceeded to knit and stitch himself a career. Kaffe's first book was published in 1997. While working on quilts for the book, Kaffe designed a range of woven shot cottons and checked fabrics. These were quickly followed by a stunning collection of printed fabrics for the Kaffe Fassett Fabric Collection for Rowan, all of which have featured in the Rowan patchwork and quilting books, of which 12 have now appeared since the first was published in 1999. Kaffe is the first living textile artist to have a one-man show at the V&A museum in London.
