Class is in session in "Class of Heroes 2G" for the PlayStation 3. In this role playing game, you will attend a school for monster bashing and treasure finding. Grades are given out based on how well you explore dungeons and defeat monsters. Published by Gaijinworks and MonkeyPaw Games, "Class of Heroes 2G" is a game that doesn't take itself lightly. Frequent pop culture references and memes are inserted into the text at regular intervals. While the game is challenging, you can also find yourself laughing regularly. Nearly every monster, item, or skill has a humorous quote attached to it. When you first start "Class of Heroes 2G" for the PlayStation 3, you'll need to create your party. Similar to retro RPG series of old, you'll create your characters from the ground up. You'll select their race, gender, and profession from a varied list. While the gender and race you choose is permanent, the profession is not. Throughout the game, you will have the opportunity to change your character to a different career path. There are over 20 professions, each of which possesses unique skills. For example, one job may specialize in hand to hand combat while another can heal your party. The different races determine which professions your character can choose. If you don't feel like creating a party of six, you can use default characters.The core of the game is exploring every labyrinth that dots the landscape. You will explore each dungeon in a first-person view. Dungeons are split into tiles with your character advancing one tile at a time. Every tile that you step on could lead to an enemy attack. When in battle, you and the enemy will take turns attacking one another. Enemy sprites are large and colorful with plenty of detail. Monsters aren't the only things you'll need to watch out for in each dungeon. The labyrinth itself is out to defeat your group of adventures. For example, one level could feature electrified platforms. Step on this platform, and it will deal damage to your whole team. This gameplay mechanism can add an extra layer of depth to this game.You'll need high quality gear to survive in "Class of Heroes 2G" for the PS3. You can find weapons and armor in each of the game's towns. These cities also provide you with quests, which can award you with new gear as well. You can also create weapons, armor, and items by using alchemy. The alchemy mechanic lets you create items you won't find anywhere else. You can also increase your stats by killing monsters. Each time you gain enough experience, you will level up, and your health, attack, and defense will increase. The game can offer up to 60 hours of game play through the main story and extra time to complete all of the side quests. The additional dungeons and extra missions can add about another 40 hours of play. "Class of Heroes 2G" can be an enjoyable title for gamers looking for a retro gaming experience. It can feature a fantastic translation and challenging yet fair gameplay.
