the assembly was not for a PY21W bulb but a P21W bulb. But I have been able to use part of the item to convert a light unit to fit my 2015 Ford EcoSport so all ends well

These are advertised as 21W bulb replacements but actually draw 24Watts (without a LED bulb inserted, though the current drain was negligibly higher with LED). Also they get VERY HOT. Constant 12V got them over 200 degrees celcius on the resistor, however I’m using them for indicators/hazards & they ran ~110 degrees if left flashing for a few mins. Fitted to car there were no electrical issues though the bulb holder needed a lug removing (dremel job) to twist into the lamp unit. Thanks
