It's compatible with 35-millimeter SLR. It was made in Japan and originally released by Canon in 1991. These lenses are fully compatible with both the Canon EF and EF-S mounts. It can be used with EOS film and DSLR cameras. No matter which Canon camera you use it with, the built-in focus motor ensures ultra-quiet operation whenever employing autofocus. The minimum focusing distance for these lenses is set to .5 meters. This allows you to take close-ups that are clear and crisp in quality.If you wish to combine this EF 28-80-millimeter USM version with a filter, it's compatible with 58-millimeter thread sizes. Installing the filter is done simply by screwing it on, so you can quickly complete and move on.
