This action figure set from Mattel features two iconic characters from the DC Universe - Batman and Clayface. The set comes with a 4-inch black Clayface figure and a Batman figure in an Arkham City jail cell. The figures are from the DC Multiverse franchise and are recommended for ages 3 and up. The DC Multiverse, with its many Earths and an infinite number of worlds, is a comic book series spanning many versions. These versions include different histories of the universe and Earth as well as unique variations superheroes like Superman and the many famous villainous characters. They're going strong since the Infinite Crisis. Besides the 7-inch Clayface action figure, this DC Multiverse two-pack also features a 4-inch Multiverse Batman figure. He is wearing a classic blue and gray comic costume that is exclusive to this set. The cape is blue and made out of cloth. His chest features the iconic black bat emblem. He wears a yellow utility belt. His head swivels to the left and right so he can turn around to face Clayface and his other foes. His mask remains attached to his face. His hands can hold small objects. The arms hinge out from the shoulders. His elbow has a hinge and his wrists swivel. Batman's waist also bends. His legs move forward and to the side. The Multiverse Clayface figure features over nine points of articulation. His body is so massive and muscular that it dwarfs his head. You can remove his right hand and replace it with his huge accessory club mallet. He's ready for all the superheroes of the Justice League, on Earth, and in the DC comics universes. These include Batman, Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and The Dark Knight. Clayface's arms swivel all the way around, the better to swing his club mallet. His legs bend forward, backward, and to the side. Batman is a repaint of the Multiverse figure previously released in the line of this world. He also features over nine points of articulation. Additionally included in this Batman Multiverse figure set is a jail cell diorama. It features a jail cell door that has been wedged open after the prisoner Clayface's escape. In the Earth of DC Comics, Gotham City Mayor Sharp of this world has closed Blackgate Pentitentiary. It's no longer suitable for holding Gotham City's prisoners. He bought up the slums surrounding Gotham City, and then he created the human prison fortress of Arkham City in this universe. The private firm, TYGER Security, lets the prisoners do everything on Earth they want except escape. But Clayface has his own plans to escape into the Multiverse and the many Earths and of DC comics. He is defying Superman and the other heroes. The figures are made for boys and girls ages four and older in this universe. They are strong enough to withstand rough play. It's also terrific for collectors of comics. The kit contains a base that is the cell's floor and the cell's bars. Clayface has bent the bars so he can escape. The bar piece comes with tabs that fit into the floor piece. The artwork on the box features the superhero fierce and ready. It's a delightfully creepy close-up display of the Clayface of this world. With his unlimited imagination, Grant Morrison has written comic books that fire the spirit. These feature Superman and villains such as Clayface. He created the incredible Multiversity. These figures do go with the rest of Arkham City jail series and the entire DC universe of Earths. If you or your kids love DC comics and stories, you'll marvel at these DC comics characters.
