Good for more than just explosions, though, you can balance the theater system audio with finesse through the controllable bass, mid, and treble frequency levels and use of the DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Pro Logic II decoders. The unit also has AM/FM tuner bands so you can tune in to your favorite radio broadcasts at home. For those that only plan on playing high-fidelity audio, rest assured that your needs are met with a complete frequency-response bandwidth that ranges from 10 to 50,000 Hz, ensuring complete sonic representation from tweeters to the subwoofer.On a more technical note, the input impedance of this Sony receiver is 50 ohms. This means that it pulls voltage without the dips that some receivers struggle with while allowing it to maintain an input sensitivity of 250 mV.
