On the air for six years, PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE won 22 Emmy awards. A Saturday morning favorite of children growing up in 1980s, the show created a warm, magical world brought to life by actors Paul Reubens, Larry Fishburne, and Lynne Stewart among others. A bright, colorful set and a silly sense of humor made it appealing to children and adults alike; children delighted, for example, in trying to guess the show's weekly "secret word", which when disclosed, was shouted at high volume. The show was full of funny, original characters like Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis, Reba the Mail Lady, and The King of Cartoons. This release contains 21 episodes including the classics "Ice Cream Shop," "The Gang's all Here," "Luau for Two," "Puppy in the Playhouse," "Pee-Wee Catches a Cold," "Ants in Your Pants," and "Tons of Fun."
