The RX-V2090 Natural Sound A/V receiver from Yamaha provides audio performance and control convenience without rival. Multi-room/multi-source capability allows for access of main system sources in another room. The RX-V2090 A/V receiver sends an independent line level audio and video signal to the second room and has an independent A/B speaker switch for use in a 3rd room. Dolby Surround AC-3 results in stereo surround effects for an expanded sense of depth, localization and overall realism. On-screen display lets you confirm operation and includes speaker display that makes it easier to balance speaker output in the Speaker Test Mode with a graphic representation of the speakers. You can select each of the DSP programs with one touch on the remote control, allowing you to compare the effects from your listening position. You can listen to one source while you record another. 70MM Movie Theater Cinema DSP multiplies the effects of Dolby Pro-Logic and Yamaha DSP to recreate the movie theater experience in your home. This mode was created based on input from movie sound technicians to reproduce sound images the way the director intended them to be heard. Front panel A/V inputs provide easy connection of a camcorder or other A/V components.Pre-main coupler and subwoofer out with LPF lets you add signal processors or larger amplifiers to your system. 35mm Dolby Pro-Logic Enhanced creates the same type of sound you experience in movie theaters with multi-speaker arrays. In addition to Yamaha's unique 70mm Movie Theater, TV Theater and Dolby Pro Logic Normal and Enhanced programs, the RX-V2090 offers a special sports program and five Hi-Fi DSP programs: Concert Hall, Rock Concert, Stadium, Jazz Club and Church. Yamaha's amazingly powerful, compact LSI provides extremely accurate Dolby Pro-Logic decoding and digital sound field processing. 64-key learning remote lets you program and control additional components such as a VCR, Laserdisc player, or TV. A linear damping factor of 200 (8 ohms 20 - 20 kHz) means plenty of ability to stop the speaker cone from vibrating when the signal stops. The result is clear crisp pure sound and significantly improved frequency response. Preset stations can be grouped in five sets of eight, according to AM and FM, or musical genre, or any order you desire. A/B speaker selector allows use of one or both sets of speakers. Bass Extension Control accentuates the base by providing a 7dB boost at around 70 Hz.
