You don't know the difference between sh*t and shinola. That was one of my dad's favorite colorful sayings when I was young. The phrase is a colloquialism which dates back to the early 1940s in the United States. Shinola was a once-popular brand of shoe polish, which had a color and texture not unlike you-know-what.

This store is a mishmash of the unique, vintage, collectable, and yes, the occasional piece of junk. Our passion is to hunt far and near for cool stuff and offer it at a reasonable price. Please let us know if there are items you would like to see listed here. Located in the San Francisco Bay area, we have many sources ripe for the picking. Your ideas and suggestions help us provide the kind of place you will want to visit over and over. Most importantly, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, we are happy to provide a refund.
