  After posting my original comments, I was contacted by the seller who offered me a replacement with the correct part. I felt that was a good faith effort to correct the issue, which I admit was due to my own fault not looking at the full description compared to my requirements. I elected to keep the incorrect part because the total shipping back and forth was not worth it as it was half of the cost of the drill chuck. I will simply advise others to CAREFULLY READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION.

  There is Fine print ! Its called Descriptions! Received chuck is 100% genuine and as shown and described, guaranteed to fit dcd710 type 2 or type 3. If you just contact me I would exchange the part ! DCD710 3/8" drill, type1 uses 3/8-24tpi threads and dcd710 types 2 and type 3 uses 1/2-20tpi threads . Those are factory specifics from manufacturer catalog that comes with independent part number and tool model compatibility !
