The cost to repair would nearly outweigh the value of the lens according to my local repairman. I don't believe this was wrongdoing on the seller's behalf but the seller should have tested the lens before listing it for sale. The lens arrived fast and well packaged in bubble wrap.

The lens is as pictured and as promised. It looks new and performs flawlessly. The packaging was above and beyond . . . vacuum sealed in a ziplock bag with a moisture absorbent silica pouch; then wrapped several times in bubble wrap and placed in a perfectly sized new box. Well done!
