I kept it in a room in the garage to possibly eliminate the smell, but to no avail. I sent an email to eBay and seller about the situation. Happily, the seller offered to refund even though she does not accept returns. I was expecting the situation to not be that smooth but the seller took care of this problem quickly. This is a seller I hope I will have a chance to purchase from in the future.!

I think anyone could purchase a unique and fine item from this shop and be assured it will be most carefully and thoughtful packaged. There were even tabs on the tape securing the bubble pack around the vase to help me unwrap very carefully. Truly a shop that specializes in curating fine things and making sure they arrive safely to their new home.
