Tengo una profunda pasión por la historia de la peluquería y el afeitado tradicional de afeitar recto. Comencé a restaurar maquinillas de afeitar, tiras, tijeras y otros artículos relacionados porque no quería pagar precios altos por rectas modernas que pudieran utilizar más trabajo en piedra y artesanía. " Así que compré un viejo "Wester Bros" y lo descubrí. No vi videos ni me uní a foros, acabo de aprender por prueba y error. Encontré algunos mentores e hice muchas preguntas, e intenté muchas maneras de hacer que una herramienta ya atemporal y bien elaborada fuera mejor de lo que era originalmente. No creo que una maquinilla de afeitar brillante haga una buena maquinilla de afeitar, ni la pátina haga una mala maquinilla de afeitar. Cuando algo tiene más de 100 años se ha ganado el derecho a ser respetado tal como está. Algunas maquinillas de afeitar las haré parecer nuevas y otras viejas, pero todas como con todos los artículos que restauro, reacondiciono, restau-mod, me tratan con amor y respeto. AFECCIONO TODAS LAS MAQUINILLAS DE AFEITAR EN EL MOMENTO DE LA COMPRA, me da más tiempo libre y me permite ofrecer una variedad de bordes a los clientes.

I was also given some advice, by the seller, on how to replenish and restore old leather. The packaging was incredible. It arrived on a day when the heavens had opened like a biblical flood; the package was literally soaked but it was so well and carefully wrapped that the water didn't get to the leather strop! The strop was also sent flat packed! Brilliant.
