  The item was as described sealed in the package. A brand new 1996 Maglite. Unfortunately USPS is not a good carrier and caused the plastic to crack open during shipping. Perhaps a different carrier and more protective packaging in the future would be worth the higher cost. Still.. an unused vintage item with no marring, and reasonably priced. It was mislabeled on the site as a 4 cell D, but I could see on the package was clearly written 3 cell D, so no surprises there.
