The Temptations were one of the brightest jewels in Motown s glittering crown. In 1969 they were the first Motown act to win a Grammy Award and would go on to pick up two more. From the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies they enjoyed an almost continuous stream of hit singles on both sides of the Atlantic.
