It's modeled after the original Vibro Champ from the company's Blackface era. The original Vibro Champ in itself was an upgrade from Fender's Champ series. The circuitry in this unit is a complementary combination of tubes and a digital signal processor (DSP). The DSP performs as a preamp that models the sounds and voicing from 16 different amps. This signal is then delivered to a single-end, class A tube circuit. This circuit features a 6V6 output tube and a 12AX7 driver.No matter which genre of music you play, the Fender Champ XD lets you deliver a variety of tones.
