Backup images, videos, and important documents on the Seagate Cheetah 10K.7. Designed for the desktop computer, the Seagate Cheetah 10K.7 is 1 x 4 x 5.75-inches deep, and weighs 1.6 lbs. The internal enclosure offers 8 MB in buffer size and its interface includes SCSI and SCSI Ultra320. True to past models, the Seagate hard drive has a 4-platter construction. Don't worry about distracting noises as the hard drive backs up and works with data. It also has fluid dynamic bearing motors (FDB motors), which yields idle noise and increased shock resistance. This is due to decreased metal-to-metal contact in the internal hard drive design. What's more, the Seagate Cheetah 10K.7 user can set the hard drive to adjust the size and number of buffer segments to a desktop-appropriate static configuration. This Seagate hard drive works with both Sun platforms and PCs. The internal hard drive offers an external data transfer rate of 320 Mbps and an internal data transfer rate of 18 Mbit/s. Its spindle speed runs at a respectable 10,000 RPM.
