That's important considering the size and space a pair of these will take up. The quality of tone coming out of the floor-standing speakers is clear at both high and low volumes. The highs are fully discernible, the mids are incredibly detailed, and the low end is dense and strong. A subwoofer is purely optional since these speakers do so well with bass already. The soundstage is wide and deep no matter the volume and range. This makes these speakers useful for a variety of functions, including music that ranges from classical to heavy meta, as well as home theater applications. Even DTS and surround sound on 4K Blu-ray discs can boom clearly from these Polk speakers.
