"Mama" returns for more delicious dishes in this follow-up to Majesco's sleeper hit on Nintendo DS. The stylus and microphone are used to prepare 80 meals, each incorporating multiple mini-games, from chopping and boiling to shredding and slicing. Cooking Mama 2 also offers the chance to make specific meals for Mama's friends. This presents a new challenge, since failing a single step in the preparation process ends the game. Another addition is the ability to customize Mama and her kitchen with items unlocked by earning medals and gold stars in each recipe.
