In Monkeyshines!, two players each take control of two men in a platform filled room as convincingly animated monkeys frolic. To score points, the players "tag" the apes by touching them and pressing the joystick button. Once tagged, a monkey turns red for a few seconds and can "tag" the players. The object is to tag as many monkeys as possible before the players themselves are tagged. Monkeyshines! nearly always starts out with teamwork, only to end with one player aiming angry red monkeys at his partner. Fights and flying monkey fun ensue in this highly original title.
