Enter the world of Faxanadu, home to the adventurer with no name. Where many NES games fall into neat categories, “Faxanadu” straddles the line between roleplaying and platform games. Your adventurer begins the game returning to Eolis, his Elven home, only to find it under attack by Dwarves. As the hero, you have to adventure through a series of overworld levels to defeat the Evil One. While much of the gameplay follows standard platform tropes, it also includes many elements of roleplaying games including interactive NPCs.
