The game was developed by THQ and is the first release of a Spongebob game for the Sony PSP. This Spongebob on PSP is a colourful, comical release that takes the player into the fictional world of Bikini Bottom, where players become Spongebob Yellow Avenger to defeat a number of quirky enemies, such as Dirty Bubble and the Jumbo Shrimp. Spongebob Yellow Avenger has both single player and multiplayer modes that allow players to defeat foes by using a variety of objects, jumps and power-up moves. While Spongebob Yellow Avenger has been previously released on other consoles, it's the first time users can play Spongebob on PSP.
