Product Information
Pac-Man has been around the block a time or two, appearing in some form or another on just about every possible game console. After nearly two decades in the hearts and minds gamers everywhere, the famous yellow chomper makes his debut on Game Boy Color with Pac-Man: Special Color Edition.

Looking to set this version apart from previous renditions, Namco has included the puzzle game Pac-Attack along with the original Pac-Man. Both games are in full color.

The main objective of Pac-Man is to clear a maze of dots while avoiding the four ghosts located inside. Once a maze is cleared of dots, you move on to the next level. Each maze contains four power pills, which make the ghosts turn blue (signaling they are vulnerable and can be eaten). Fruit appears in the center of the maze from time to time and can be eaten for bonus points.

Pac-Attack is a puzzle game similar to Tetris, but with an added twist. In addition to the standard blocks which must be arranged into lines, Pac-Man and ghosts also fall from the sky. Ghosts are barriers to clearing lines; when Pac-Man appears, you can guide him to eat the ghosts, effectively clearing the way.

In order to address Game Boy Color's small screen size, there are two modes to choose from when playing Pac-Man. One scrolls the maze as you move through it, allowing for larger, more detailed graphics. The other mode shrinks the maze and characters so they all fit on the screen at once.

Pac-Man: Special Color Edition is playable on the original Game Boy (without color, of course) and also features a two-player competitive mode.Product Identifiers
