2 JVC wooden speakers. The JVC CD/FM player. This item is in excellent used condition, with both the speakers and player working excellently. The speakers have various dings on the wood, while the player shows minor scratches and dings that are not very noticeable.

Different models in JVC's FS series demonstrate advances in speaker technology. The FS-SD990 Executive Desktop Stereos introduces the unique, oblique cone, which inherits last year's cylinder-shaped speaker technology and adds new innovations for still better sound. The oblique cone features an asymmetrically mounted voice coil, which decreases distortion due to interference. In addition, the reduction of standing-wave generation in the cone provides a smooth response for a clearer sound. For true elegance, the FS-SD990 has elliptical-cylinder shaped cherry wood enclosures and uses Hyper Aramid Fiber (the same type of fiber used in making bulletproof vests) for rigid and lightweight construction with optimum internal loss.
