Most of these that come up are the Japanese/American Auldey Re-Issue of the toy, this is the TRUE First Issue Japanese version!! I pulled these out of a sealed case myself, they have not been handled until now. I did open one of them and put a new battery in it to see if it worked, and what it does. It's a really neat toy. It has two metal spots on the bottom, and when you touch both of them at the same time to complete the circuit Pikachu's cheeks light up BRIGHT RED and he makes some noises. You will need a new CR2016 battery for it to operate. VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE.
