Acerca de este artículo

Product Information

As a transceiver designed to allow for top-quality sound transmission, the Yaesu FT-920 radio transceiver is optimized for noise reduction and can filter out unwanted background sounds to sync with the operator’s unique voice patterns and inflections. The FT-920, which has been adapted and evolved from earlier Yaesu radio transceivers, was built with ease of operation in mind and has an enhanced signal-to-noise ratio to elevate the sound quality. The FT-920 features an up-conversion technique and MRF255 field-effect transistors for an output power ranging to a maximum of 54 MHz. The double-balanced first mixer creates dynamic range, and the four-pole roofing filter at 68.985 Mhz protects subsequent receiver stages. With the Yaesu digital signal processing, or DSP, system capable of 333 million instructions per second, noise distortion is kept to a minimum. Other features of the FT-920 DSP system are a microphone equalizer that further enhances the sound quality as well as noise reduction, auto-notch filters, and bandpass filtering. The front-end bandpass filters protect the receiver’s circuits from out-of-band signals, and the high-pass and low-pass filters protect against interference from television transmissions, other radio frequencies, and high-level signals that can interfere with transmission. The Yaesu FT-920 Omni-Glow display includes a wide array of information useful for any ham radio operator. The high-contrast digital display screen is crisp and sharp with easy-to-read information icons that limit eye fatigue. Among the Omni-Glow features are a wide-angle lens as well as high-speed digital metering with a “peak-hold” feature that allows users to monitor peak signal and power. The digital meter scales indicate signal strength, transmitter output power, speech processor compression level, voltage, and current. The two large, easy-to-use tuning knobs feature illuminated VFO switches, and the multi-function dials make operating the unit easy when time is of the essence. The patented Yaesu Shuttle Job system makes is easy for users to move up and down the radio bands with ease. In addition, the Dual Watch system allows for manual monitoring of two bands to watch for coveted band openings. You can use the versatile scanning functions to monitor more than one frequency at once, easily keep an eye on favorite frequencies or watch quiet bands, and easily choose and switch between different channel-scanning features, including VMO-mode scanning and memory-channel scanning. Radio operators can customize their Yaesu FT-920 with the extensive built-in menu that allows users to program up to 73 different set-and-forget functions on the radio, including tuning rate and microphone equalization. The 127-channel memory system featuring alpha-numeric labels includes 99 regular memory channels as well as five quick memory bank memories, 10 split-frequency memories, a call channel for every memory band, and a set of band-limit channels. Each memory on the Yaesu unit retains a variety of information, including antenna selection data, bandwidth, and mode. The receiver comes with a built-in hand microphone and can also easily be utilized with a variety of accessories, such as tape recorders, desktop microphones, stereo headphones, or external loudspeakers that connect with the built-in dual antenna jacks, data connection jack, computer control interface jack, and out jack. Operating enhancements include linear amplifier tuning, an FM repeater, all-mode power control, and a built-in electronic keyer circuit.
