The Crucial m4 CT256M4SSD1 is a 265 GB solid state hard drive that provides the buyer with durable storage. This Crucial 256 GB hard drive weighs approximately 2.6 oz and measures 2.8 inches wide by 4 inches high by 0.4 inches thick. The Crucial m4 CT256M4SSD1 has a form factor of 2.5 inches designed to work with the ultra thin and light laptops. It delivers faster boot times as well as application load times than other models on the market. The Crucial 256 GB hard drive has an external data transfer rate of 600 Mbps. This solid state hard drive also has an internal data read rate of 500 Mbps and a write rate of 260 Mbps. There is also a 4 KB random read of 450000 IOPS and random write of 50000 IOPS. It is quieter and requires less power consumption than other hard drives due to the face that solid state drives do not have any moving parts.
