The Draytek Vigor 2830 is a high-speed router that features VoIP protocols, enhanced security features, dual-band wireless routing, and four Ethernet ports. The four Ethernet ports connect devices via a wired connection when wireless is not possible or the attached device is not wireless-capable. For wireless capable devices, the Draytek wireless N router offers a 2.4 GHz band frequency and a 5.8 GHz band frequency. The bands are user switchable and allow users to avoid system interference from secondary devices. Data transfer rates vary based on the attached device connexion type. The maximum data transfer rate possible with the four-port router is 300 Mbps but rates may be slower. VoIP protocol includes SIP and RTP/RTCP, and the unit offers up to 12 SIP Registrar Accounts for up to 12 VoIP providers. VoIP service with the Draytek Vigor 2830 supports a variety of features including Caller ID, DND, Hotline, and Jitter Buffer, among others. Security features on the Draytek wireless N router are Multi-NAT, DMZ Host, MAC Address Filter, SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) with new FlowTrack Mechanism, and more.
