This is the first issue of Checkmate, published in April 1988 by DC Comics. The comic book was written by Paul Kupperberg and Erwin, and features the character of the same name. It is a part of the US Comics tradition and belongs to the Comics genre. The publication year and publisher are also mentioned in the description.The overall condition is nice. All of the corners have light wear on the front and back. The front cover has a light bend on the top right-hand corner. The front has light stains on the “ Checkmate” title. Please see the last photo. The back page has light yellowing over the entire border. All pages are intact and solid. I’m not an expert by no means on grading comic books but it appears to be s nice copy. Thanks.
