Synopsis
The Red Book, published to wide acclaim in 2009, contains the nucleus of C. G. Jung's later works. It was here that he developed his principal theories of the archetypes, the collective unconscious, and the process of individuation that would transform psychotherapy from treatment of the sick into a means for the higher development of the personality. As Sara Corbett wrote in the New York Times, "The creation of one of modern history's true visionaries, The Red Book is a singular work, outside of categorization. As an inquiry into what it means to be human, it transcends the history of psychoanalysis and underscores Jung's place among revolutionary thinkers like Marx, Orwell and, of course, Freud." The Red Book: A Reader's Edition features Sonu Shamdasani's introductory essay and the full translation of Jung's vital work in one volume., The Red Book , published to wide acclaim in 2009, contains the nucleus of C. Brand new and sealed, high quality, great price below retail. Looks great. Packaged well, shipped soon and arrived quickly. Only issue was communications. For the first couple of days after shipping there was no tracking info. When I inquired about this I received what read like a computer generated response strangely asking me for info to identify the product, even though the message I sent was through eBay and for this product. But, then, tracking info appeared after a few days.

I can't "rate this item" because I'm not planning to read it. I bought the book to donate to the Bo Brown Memorial Gay & Lesbian Collection in the Sterne Library & Archives at the University of Alabama in Birmingham where I'm positive it will make a great addition to the collection . . . BUT . . . I CAN say that the seller did a great job in handling this transaction. Book was carefully packaged & was promptly shipped - - - and was just as described . . . so there's that :-} Thanks!
