I had one side that would not light up and it was a loose wire on the connecter for the buttons . They coppied Fords design to good , They also would come loose duing installation . The wires slide into a terminal notch in the same way that a trailer wiring connector works . If after installation you have a switch issue use a very small screwdriver and seat the wires deeper into the connectores . After fixing my installation issue it worked ok.
