You will need the longer nails for siding and make sure you hit studs. Turned all the way down it will bury the short nails too deep for siding. 1 3/4" nails work great for the siding. Make sure you buy nails that are top banded and not top and bottom banded.

Might not quite replace a pneumatic nailer, but getting pretty close. It's a little heavy but I would prefer it over pulling out a hose on smallish jobs.
