I learned in my search for the first pair to always go a 1/2 size up with hiking boots. This was a great tip. Good ankle support. I bought my first pair approx 2 years ago, & was very happy to find them again. I needed a spare pair for complex reasons; the first pair are still in great shape. The price was also excellent; REI was charging much more in a color I wasn't wild about. These are great "old school" boots!

When they finally replied they were very apologetic and sincere.
