Reviews
This handy money-management guide is aimed squarely at those who have served in the U.S. military and their family members. Those serving in active duty may find it difficult to manage finances from far away; it can be equally difficult to deal with money when returning to 'normal' civilian life. It's also important to remember that many join the service at a young age and do not have the benefit of experience. The book breaks down general financial planning into manageable chunks, covering topics such as taxes, investments, insurance, funding for education, home ownership, and transitioning to life after the military. Authors Lawthorne-Scott and Philpott each have personal and professional experience with the military, and it shows in their vocabulary and manner. Public libraries would do well to add this to the shelves of consumer financial-planning books; academic libraries with ROTC programs will find this a must-purchase., Military Finances: Personal Money Management for Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families provides military members with a fine guide to everything from understanding and using the banking industry to planning for retirement, investing, and buying insurances. Coverage includes veterans, those currently serving, and military members planning for a transition and provides all the specifics linking military employ to financial concerns. All the common routines of military service, active duty and lifestyle are covered in chapters that cite the latest military routines and strategies, how to link them to personal benefit and financial management, and how to gain the most from benefits and their investment. No military collection should be without this.

This book provides a one-stop guide to navigating the many financial questions facing today's military in all phases of service: Active duty Preparing for transition or retirement And post-military lives and careers It covers general financial planning along with many specific aspects of money management vital to military members and their families, proving an indispensable and informative resource for those who fight to defend our freedoms every day, and have for generations.e who fight to defend our freedoms every day, and have for generations.e who fight to defend our freedoms every day, and have for generations.e who fight to defend our freedoms every day, and have for generations., Military Finances is essential reading for any soldier, veteran, or military family member concerned with their financial future. - a***a (346)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaThis hardback book is of the highest quality, has a fine appearance , arrived in perfect condition, and is an excellent value. On what I was not asked about this time, communicating with the seller would have required using email outside of the eBay system, because they do not accept eBay messages, the book was well packed in a purpose-designed cardboard box, the shipping was faster than I expected for the bound media rate, and the book was exactly as described and pictured.Tameshigiri - The History and Development of Japanese Sword Testing by Sesko (#282906424466)
- r***w (213)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaItem was lost in delivery- but after some communication, seller was understanding and provided a refund. I ordered another and had it sent elsewhere. My main issue was that it felt as if I was getting automated responses at first!! Please have humans review human inquiries!! It was painstaking explaining the situation to an A.I. who only repeats unhelpful replies. Thanks again!! Otherwise. Great price! Great seller!
- a***o (684)- Votos emitidos por el comprador.Últimos 6 mesesCompra verificadaBook is like new as described (remainder). Price was fair Shipping time was quick, but one problem is the packaging. It was simply put in a big brown envelope (too big for the mailbox) with no inner packing i.e no plastic wrapping inside to protect the book. The book was left outside our door in the rain while we were out and the envelope was soaked. When we dried the package and opened it the back of the dust jacket was wet. I suggest the seller use some inner package packing to the protect it
