Stargate Sg-1, the TV series, picks up where the blockbuster film left off; with a 44-episode commitment, Stargate Sg-1 had it's premiere on Showtime in Aug. '97. This soundtrack includes music created for the Stargate movie by David Arnold (Independence Day) along with compositions created for the TV series by Joel Goldsmith. Son of film composer Jerry Goldsmith, Joel has a prolific career of his own including credits for Star Trek: First Contact, Reasonable Doubt, Kull the Conqueror, the Outer Limits and more.
