When Malcolm decides to join the Council many things change. He meets the ancient vampire, Madam Woo, a former princess turned warrior. At the same time, his twin brother Tristan, a brilliant biologist, has gone insane. He takes the life of Margo, a psychic practitioner and turns her into a powerful vampire. The Calgulas have been possessed by hybrid aliens seeking to revitalize their dying race. This has upset the balance of nature in multiple dimensions. Demons are on the loose and Homeland Security is hunting down vampires. The stakes are high as Malcolm and a cast of vampires are forced to work with the CIA, other secret societies and things even stranger. It's a united effort of unlikely allies. They must overcome mistrust and differences to stop the aliens who threaten the future; all without the general public's knowledge. The story begins with a chance encounter in the remote rain forests of Honduras between powerful vampires and the extraterrestrial remnant of the ancient race of aliens called the Eben. The Earth, humankind, vampires and all its inhabitants are experiencing a shift due to an evolutionary surge.
