Translucent beads cascade over her left shoulder and down the front of the gown and her beautiful golden hair is worn in a loose bun with long tendrils.

Mattel’s 1997 Water Lily Barbie doll is inspired by artist Claude Monet's iconic painting, which makes her appealing to both fans of fashion and fans of classic art. Barbie's shiny blonde hair is styled in a generously sized bun with long ringlets cascading down her back and shoulder. Two pink taffeta flowers and a sassy blue streak polish off her whimsical water lily Barbie hairdo. The shape of her flowing gown is reminiscent of glimmering water, and the earthy colors on the dress are the exact shades found in Monet's painting. A three-layer ruffle starts at her right hip and goes to the bottom of the dress and around the back. Shimmering pink water lilies are scattered across the gown, and delicate beading is draped over her left shoulder and down the front of her dress.
