Ted Hughes's Birthday Letters are addressed, with just two exceptions, to Sylvia Plath, the American poet to whom he was married. They were written over a period of more than twenty-five years, the first a few years after her suicide in 1963, and represent Ted Hughes's only account of his relationship with Plath and of the psychological drama that led both to the writing of her greatest poems and to her death. The book became an instant bestseller on its publication in 1998 and won the Forward Prize for Poetry in the same year.

Given that they are all in, as described, great condition with mylar-protected dust jackets and environmentally friendly highly safeguarded packaging with hand-signed card, I can't imagine anything better value for money. With cheap postage & amazingly low purchase price, I have never had such an enjoyable shopping experience & I have had many! Very highly recommended seller who I would buy from again in a heartbeat.

It shipped pretty fast and since it was coming overseas I expected it to take more than two weeks or so to get here, but not six days! The two books came exactly as they were shown in the pictures. As a sucker for Roman history, this was a great and unique find! I managed to a pair of books like this in Abebooks with the mylar too, but someone bought it before I did, so I'm glad I had the chance to buy this. Awesome seller.
