This easily accommodated the magnetic clasp on my garnet beaded necklace. The only thing that bothers me is how much darker the garnet necklace and my Nicky Butler garnet cross are compared to the red garnets of the pendant. Still, it is a nice pendant - the prongs seem to be holding the stones in place pretty solidly & match the earrings I also got.
