The Seagate Momentus connects to a motherboard via a 3 GB/s SATA interface. This delivers plenty of data transfer speed. A 7200 RPM spindle allows you to access any address on the hard disk quickly. This disk uses a 16MB buffer cache to hold critical I/O data, noticeably improving your user experience. A fluid dynamic bearing motor decreases noise, wear, and vibrations, which increase the life of the component.Latency rates have a major impact on overall disk performance. The Seagate Momentus ST9500423AS has an average latency rate of only 4.2 milliseconds, keeping lookup times low.
