A trusted and reliable digital AC output module, the Allen-Bradley 1746-OA16 module is manufactured to high-quality industry standards. This component is designed to be flexible and compatible with the SLC 500 series system. The 1746-OA16 provides 16 output ports for greater versatility and space-saving when building a system or replacing parts in an existing SLC 500 series system. The Allen-Bradley 1746-OA16 Output Module receives and stores digital converted analog data. This data is stored in its image table and is retrievable by SLC (small logic controller) 500 processors. This type of Allen-Bradley module supports connections from any combination of eight separate voltage or electric current analog sensors. The Allen-Bradley Output Module’s operating voltage is 85-265V AC, with a maximum continuous current per output of 0.5 A at 30 degrees C and 0.25 A at 60 degrees C. Backplane current consumption for the module is 0.370A 0.370 A. This is a general-purpose series 120/240V AC output module with a load current of min: 10mA. Complete specifications of the I/O components are available in the owner’s manual. Allen-Bradley I/O modules, including SLC (small logic controller) and PLC (programmable logic controller) components, provide great value with a wide range of uses including high-speed assembly operations, HVAC control, small process control, and simple motion control. During repair or replacement of I/O digital components, SLC or PLC, static-free conditions are necessary. Electrical load must be considered and proper grounding is required to protect both the system and the installer. Never install, remove or wire modules with power applied to the chassis. When installing I/O digital component parts, careful wire routing within the enclosure helps cut down electrical noise between input and output lines. Careful attention to the order of SLC and PLC modules within the chassis results in a proper repair or installation. The Allen-Bradley 1746-OA16 output module is a reliable, high-quality module that has great value for the dollar as well as a wide range of applications.
