From the picture, I had thought that it was just the way that the light was reflecting off of the plastic, but I only cared about the DVD inside, so I didn't ask about it. However, I was required to pay an additional $6.05 cents at the Post Office in order to retrieve the package. Even though they were shipped USPS Ground Advantage they were shipped in a Priority Mail Box. I have taken a photo of the box if that is helpful. Let me know if you need me to send that.
