The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy is a fantasy film by Peter Jackson, adapted from the classic book written by J.R.R. Tolkien. This 4-disc set’s first film - The Fellowship of the Ring, revolves around the Dark Lord Sauron’s plot to retrieve his powerful ring that was lost in a previous battle, from Frodo, a naive hobbit. It also details how Frodo proceeds to the fires of Mount Doom with his eight companions to destroy the ring. The second film of the Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy ? The Two Towers ? narrates the travails of Frodo and his friend Sam to reach the Mount Doom in Mordor. This 4-disc set’s third film - The Return of the King ? describes the battle between Aragorn - the leader of World of Men and a friend of Frodo - and Sauron's troops to gain possession of the ring.
