Product Information
One of two Spy Masters games released in 2001, Spy Masters: Max Strikes Back is composed of arcade games with educational foundations. Players join forces with the Spy Masters Team as they journey through the fictional world of Arcadea in search of the rebel, former Spy Master, Max Masters. Creating their own spy character, players explore Arcadea in search of Max while earning spy gear and warding off renegade robots that have been unleashed in the Spy Masters' world. <br><br>Players can view video briefings of the missions they must accomplish via the main menu, also known as Spy Command. Hints and clues are always accessible from an onscreen tool bar and returning to Spy Command after winning a game or completing a mission will reveal the next chapter of the story. <br><br>Various buildings within the 3D Arcadea contain different games to play. Science, Math, and Language Arts are just some of the subject skills the games reinforce. Players may have to clear a screen full of bubbles containing words by identifying parts of speech. Noun, adjective, and verb bubbles must be grouped in threes to disappear, and the entire screen must be cleared to win. Similar games are played with addition and subtraction. Other games require use of logic and puzzle-solving skills. Completing a game will earn spy gear to further the missions. <br><br>In some of the eleven areas of Arcadea open for exploration, kids can investigate a pirate ship, traverse the jungle, and enter the biosphere. Seven spy gear items are attainable and include a Hover Board, Aqua Suit, Cyber Visor, and Robo Sensor. Spy gear, as well as characters, are transferable from this game to others in the series. Aside from success in the educational arcade games, logic and mystery-solving must be used to complete the missions.
